Many people are passionate about weaving with natural fibres.
Are you curious about what you can do with NZ flax/harakeke ?
Take a look around my website and you'll find out more.
I hope you'll love my work and get back to me with any questions!
About me
Kia ora, a welcome to my webpage.
I would like to inspire you about the world of using Harakeke (NZ flax) and natural fibres for weaving objects that can beautify any environment as well as being useful in everyday life. In more recent times I love working with muka, the fine inner fibre of flax.
My weaving is known for its vibrant colours and quirky shapes. My inspiration often comes from NZ Maori weaving but I like exploring concepts of worldwide weaving.
My Artwork
Creating is joy and often it is an expression what is going on in an inner world.
When it comes to my artwork, I weave stories into Kete (handbags), potaee (hats), bodices, wallhangings and flax jewelry. Each piece is a unique expression of the moment and the energies around me.
